16’ Prospecteur

Like our Prospector 16’6 in composite, this model, widely marketed in several other brands over the years, is a very popular one. Its maneuverability is very easy thanks to its high tread, even if it is loaded to full capacity. The construction of its hull makes it responsive and ready to avoid obstacles. A beginner or expert paddler will appreciate it especially since he paddles both in tandem and solo. Like most of our models, this canoe is constructed from red cedar. The interior skeleton is white cedar, the gunwales are ash and the parts are made of mahogany. Our seats are woven with rawhide in the traditional way. The hull is covered with a fiberglass fabric and an epoxy coating, all coated with marine varnish with protection against ultraviolet rays.
