12’ Princess

The Princess paddles very well solo or in tandem. It is a canoe that has a small capacity and is suitable for both short and long trips. In our range of cedar canoes, it is one of our lightest models. The Princess can easily be paddled with a double oar, like we do in a kayak. Its ends are low. It maneuvers well and is very easy to portage. Like most of our models, this canoe is constructed from red cedar. The interior skeleton is white cedar, the gunwales are ash and the parts are made of mahogany. Our seats are woven with rawhide in the traditional way. The hull is covered with a fiberglass fabric and an epoxy coating, all coated with marine varnish with protection against ultraviolet rays.
